United Kingdom
The UK is an ideal location for data centers, offering advanced infrastructure, political stability and strong connectivity. It’s a global tech and finance hub with high demand for data center infrastructure across the country. Its mild climate reduces cooling costs, improving efficiency. The UK features top tech clusters, skilled talent and cutting-edge R&D. In addition, government support for innovation and a collaborative ecosystem make it a leading location for AI and digital infrastructure.
Over 40% of the UK’s electricity comes from renewables including wind, solar and hydro. It leads in offshore wind, especially in the North Sea, with strong government backing. This supports sustainability goals and helps operators meet decarbonization targets. With green energy and a mature digital economy the UK is one of Europe’s most attractive and future-ready data center markets.
France
France is a prime data center location, thanks to it’s excellent infrastructure, central European position and competitive electricity prices. It has excellent connectivity to major markets, serving cloud, AI and hyperscale needs. Paris, Marseille, and Lyon offer dense fiber, skilled labor and proximity to businesses. It’s stable political environment supports long-term digital investment.
France’s biggest advantage is its low-carbon grid, about 90% of its electricity comes from low-carbon sources, mostly nuclear, with growing renewables. This helps operators cut emissions without offsets, making France one of Europe’s cleanest electricity markets.

Italy
Italy is well-positioned for data centers, combining strategic location, rising demand and quality infrastructure. Positioned at the crossroads of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, Italy serves as a key gateway for international data traffic. Major cities like Milan and Rome are seeing increased data center development supported by expanding fiber networks.
Renewables made up over 35% of Italy’s electricity in 2024, led by solar and hydro. With one of Europe’s highest solar capacities, Italy offers high potential for clean energy integration in data center operations.
Germany
Germany is a top European data center market, thanks to its strong economy, infrastructure and central location. As Europe’s largest economy, it offers broad customer access and dense connectivity. Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich are key hubs, with strong fiber and proximity to business centers. Frankfurt hosts DE-CIX, one of the world’s largest internet exchanges, ideal for interconnection and low latency.
Germany is advancing renewable adoption under its Energiewende policy. In 2024, renewables supplied over 50% of power, led by wind and solar, with continued investment in grid and green infrastructure.
